I’ll be the first to say it, I love me a Sephora sale! I think their rewards program isn’t great but I still shop there way to often and eat up the sales. I just love the variety of brands that they offer! This is their third sale of the year and the next one won’t be until the spring so definitely not a bad time to stock up! They always do their Holiday sale around this time and I will note that for Black Friday they just offer discounts on some stuff so this is definitely the sale you want to shop! I am Rouge so I do get the 20% of but if you’re not and don’t love the 10-15% off, (I don’t blame you) Black Friday + Cuyber Monday may be better to shop!
The sale starts Friday 11/1 for Rouge and runs till 11/11. Rouge get’s 20% off, VIB get’s 15% off and Insider get’s 10%. I am a Rouge so I will be shopping the sale but I also want to say that if you’re not, 10-15% isn’t the best deal and you will definitely be able to find better deals from brand sites during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Not telling you how to spend your money and I know how easy Sephora can be but skincare and makeup brands tend to run awesome Black Friday sales with better deals and free kits and products!

I do this post everytime there is a sale but I want to keep it pretty clear cut and simplified this year! Here’s my 2018 post!
There is SO many new makeup + skincare launches in the beauty industry — to the point where theres multiple new launches daily. (Trendmood1 is popping with new makeup constantly and Anastasia Beverly Hills for instance literally launches a new $50 eye palette every week.) As a beauty writer + blogger it’s a ton to keep up with but I’m trying to get better at weeding out what I want to try just because and what I know I will love and use. At the end of the day it’s just a sale and there will always be more!
Farmacy Honeymoon Glow. I missed this in my collection so I’ll repurchase it during this sale because it is the best AHA/BHA combo I have tried. I actually purchased it at last year’s sale and finished it up a few months ago! I love having both AHAs and BHAs because then you get the acne fighters along with smoothing skin texture, exfoliation and overall improving of your complexion benefits. This product is a dream and really transformed my skin. Think less congestion and smoother and brighter texture while fading dark spots.
Dr. Dennis Gross Peel Pads. Another superb option for chemical exfoliating with AHA and BHA and great for fading dark spots, banising blackheads and minizing the effects of aging — they’re basically a peel at home. They recommend using once a day which is FAR too much. I’d say 2-3 times a week and that will likely be all you’ll need for chemical exfoliation. They have a bunch of different versions — gentle, extra strength, normal, with self tanner. I like the normal and extra strength best.
Inkey List — I think this a fabulous new addition to Sephora and their skincare is madly affordable and performs well. If I’m looking at budget skincare, I’d pick this over The Ordinary every time! I love everything I’ve tried so far and will definitely pick up more. Here’s some of my favorites: I also think they offer a good budget Vitamin C.
Polyglutamic Acid $15 – This is like an HA but holds 4 times the weight of HA and really works to hydrate the surface of your skin. It leaves my skin hydrated, plump (it’ll smooth lines) , bouncy and really helps my serums to absorb. I like to book end it with my actives or stronger serums…. — PA, active, PA. I learned that from their founder at SEPHORiA! It’s a really great option for all skin types and if you have dry skin, pair it with an Hyaluronic Acid for surface and under hydration. The best part is this serum layers well and doesn’t feel gross and sticky.
Hyaluronic Acid. Another great one for $8…. HA is the perfect boost of hydration in your routine and all skin types can benefit from it. Whether you have dry skin or your using it to help your serums absorb further and preserve your skin from aging. This has a lighter gel texture and it layers well. You can layer it with their PA too!
For Vitamin C serums I still love Kiehls ( good for dark spots + fine lines). I’m using p50 pigm 400 at the moment which is kick ass and definitely not at Sephora.
Dry Skin Friendly Moisturizers – DE Lala Retro is amazing and the hype is totally lived up too. I also love the Dr. Dennis Gross Collagen Deep Cream because it plumps up the skin and hydrates so sort of like a moisturizer + serum combo. I love the texture too and I think it would be best suited for drier skin types.
Laneige Lip Mask. Do I even need to explain? I’m on my 3rd one and I feel like I rave about it all the time. My favorite flavor/scent EVER is sweet candy which is new and limited edition! I want to buy some to stock up because I love it at much. I’ve tried berry, grapefruit, vanilla and apple lime. This is my favorite byfar. The glowy lip balm is also amazing, pretty similar to the mask and perfect for on the go.
Youth To The People Glow Oil. I have since run out of this but it stands out in my head as one of my favorite oils ever. It’s light, it’s hydrating and offers some brightening effects. It’s a dream and it smells good! One of the best I’ve tried and it’s light enough to work for all skin types. Herbivore’s Phoenix is amazing for dry skin — it’s rich and hydrating but I don’t love the scent.
Supergoop SPF! My favorite brand for sunscreens. I love the Everyday sunscreen and the Daily moisturizer. Both are hydrating and feel more like a moisturizer than sunscreen.
I don’t use balm cleansers anymore but Farmacy Green Clean is my absolute favorite way to take off lots of makeup.
Dr. Jart Blemish Dots. These have little micro needles on them to really deliver acne fighting ingredients straight into your blemish. These dots are pricey but they work so save them for big zits. They’ll visible reduce the size and swelling saving yourself from having to pop them and most likely scar. They’re zit killers and totally clutch.
Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream. If you suffer from, dry, sensitive, dehydrated skin — this is the moisturizer for you! It’s so soothing and locks in moisture. It’s eczema friendly too. This is the first time I’ve tried it and I can’t believe it took me so long given I have sensitive, dry skin! I really enjoy this!
I don’t mask as often anymore, I think out of laziness but I love Biossance Vitamin C + Squalane mask for brightening and hydrating. BTW it’s strong (it tingles!) Along with Youth To The People’s Superberry Dream mask which is my favorite hydrating, sleep mask ever. It’s a must if you live somewhere cold with a brutal winter!! Nothing locks in hydration and leaves a glowy complexion like this mask does.
I’ve never been one to splurge on body wash or even a lotion. Ouai’s new body cleanser and body cream are INSANE. The smell on both is totally on brand for Ouai and 2 new scents added to their collection…it’s amazing! That being said if you don’t like the way these smell you won’t like them. I’d try it in store first. The body cleanser – is pretty normal for a body wash , gel and foams but the scent is so nice and it lingers! The body cream is hydrating but not too thick and won’t get sticky, it feels luxurious and I love using it. I definitely won’t go back to drugstore body care after these gems!
I used to use drugstore dry shampoo only but Ouai’s Super Dry Shampoo is pretty bomb and offers great volume that’s hard to mimic! It leaves an intense white cast but really banishes grease and smells amazing…just like their Melrose Place scent. If you don’t like that scent or a white cast you will hate this!
Christophe Robins Scalp Scrub. My hair has been so damn oily and I’ve tried multiple clarifying shampoos and medicated options but this salt scrub has been the only thing I’ve tried to offer some help. If you get build up or use a ton of dry shampoo this would be a great option.
Olaplex 3. If you die your hair this is the best way to repair damage and broken bonds. You’ll still need a hydration mask to replenish but this by far is the best for damage. I’ve gone through at least 12 bottles I think.
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk. I don’t love wearing foundations so I definitely don’t have the best recommendations to offer but THIS. Doesn’t look cakey, for real. Leaves a gorgeous glow and it gets better as the day goes on. Plus it photographs really well. I don’t wear it everyday but I wore this for my graduation and it photographed sooooo well.
I also LOVE Dior Face and Body for day time. It’s super light weight and looks like skin. It’s around medium texture and it’s perfection for everyday and usually what I go for if I want to wear foundation. I also love mixing it with Armani.
If you want really light, Milk Makeup’s Skin Tint is light, dreamy sort of coverage with a glowy finish that contains SPF. Downside is they definitely need to work on the shade range!
Nudestix Nudies Bloom in Sweet Peach Peony. Perfect for everyday and the best cream blush formula if you want something dewy. It’s opaque and it wears throughout the day and well with powder. It’s easy to blend too which isn’t always the case w/ cream blushes! I think that also makes them intimidating but this is great!
Nudestix Hey Honey. This best dewy highlighter because it sets down and still looks like a glowy highlight on the skin after the dewiness subsides. This product is more intense than a glow from within and it’s wet looking. But after a few hours it’s still there — unlike ALL dewy highlighters and it doesn’t look shimmery.
Benefit Hoola. I just love the color of this bronzer, how well it blends and HOW easy it is!!! Plus the shade extension makes it more widespread. I’ve gotten high end bronzers in way prettier packaging that crumble like no other so I honestly recommend this not only for the bronzer and how it performs but how easy it is to travel with and how tough it is. I just started using this again and I’m obsessed.
Fenty Bronzer. I love the shade range and again, these are easy to use and they look so good on! I find the bronzer to be a bit more warm toned FYI, I have the sahde I$land Ting but I love using it.
Contour – Giorgio Armani’s is very natural and easy to use and blend! I really like it but my makeup syle is more minimal and natural! You can also put powder over it but again it’s still more natural. I like the Huda Beauty Tantour but it’s harder to use and tricky to blend. If you get it right you’ll look snatched and it lasts all day but it’s not a product I reach for when I feel lazy because you have to work with it. I use this on it’s own like a cream bronzer and I have the shade light. It’s a dark product so just beware!
Lawless Lucid Skin Highlighter. The formula on this highlighter is fantastic for a few different reasons: it’s a clean brand and performs just like any normal highlighter, it’s blinding and pigmented AF which is rare for clean beauty and it can easily be manipulated to be blinding or subtle depending on how much you use. I love what Lawless is doing for clean beauty and I think this is a great brand. It performs just like normal makeup and this highlighter is one of my favorites. Definitely popping and not the most natural if that is your vibe!
Kaja Beauty Eyeshadows. I love their shimmers!! They actually rival the Pat McGrath shimmers with duochrome and they are the only similar option I’ve seen. They have new ones with matte shades that I haven’t tried (but want too!) but the shimmers are sooo pigmented and buttery. I have the orange blossom trio.
Natasha Denona Eye Topper. This is a shimmery eye topper that appears wet and dewy on the lid. It’s so effortless and easy to use but oh so good. It makes you eyelids look rich and is perfect for day or night.
For matte shadows I like the ones from my CT Pillowtalk quad which I mention below and I also like the Marc Jacobs gel shadows because they perform well and they’re easy to blend. I’m not a huge palette girl anymore but I do want the new Huda one!
I love Pat McGraths Fetish Lip Balms. They’re pricey but my favorite everday lip. They’re hydrating and sheer which I like because I always have chapped lips and full on lipstick isn’t always my favorite/ the most flattering. These feel like chapstick! In my purse full of lip options I always reach for this. Frankly, there’s not a ton of shades, I have ‘blow up’ and don’t anticipate needing anymore but if you want a good everyday lip option, this one is great.
Fenty Glosses. Some of the best glosses so you can never go wrong! Plus the price point is great. I have all the shades. I love their new gloss gift set and the new shades they came out with. That is a great bang for buck.
Kevyn Aucoin Glass Gloss.. The GLOSSIEST, glassiest gloss I’ve ever used. It’s sticky so if you don’t like that you won’t like this but it’s so glossy and pretty on the lips. It looks glossier than Fenty! I have this little set with all the shades and I am obsessed.
Everything Laneige which I talked about in skincare!
I think the sale is a great time to buy the more pricey products and brands you’re eyeing because they’re on sale! That being said I LOVE Charlotte Tilbury, I’ve very vocal about that and I think her products perform very well but $$$$.
Flawless Filter. This most stunning, lit from within, won’t emphasize texture, movie star glow. Everyone needs this! Arguably the best liquid highlighter. Plus it comes as a shade range — it’s a highlighter, complexion sort of product.
Pillowtalk Everything. Just kidding but CT Pillowtalk is one of my favorite shades and collections ever. I love the Pillowtalk eye quad and I think it’s some of the best shadow I own — some people hate it but my palette is pigmented and easy to use. I also think the shades are perfect for my skin and the makeup I love! The lipstick is also super flattering and a go to shade of mine.
I want a Pat McGrath palette and any discount off of $125 is fantastic so if you’re looking at those this would be a good time! Same goes for Natasha Denona palettes. I have not tried either so I can’t make recommendations but there is many reviews on the internet!
Tom Ford Glow Drops. I just got this and the formula is really nice because there is no glitter and just sheen. It’s $50 and not worth it IMO…There is other liquid highlighters that perform just as well for much cheaper BUT if you’re eyeing it, it’s a great product, I enjoy it and now is the time to buy it because it would be discounted! Nordstrom also has price matched on sale for $42!
