Sephora Sale 2018 – What’s In My Cart

Sephora Sale

I bring good news.  2 words. SEPHORA SALE. That’s right, they’re having an August sale with 15-20% off and if you shop at Sephora, you know… this never happens!  Sephora does VIB sales in the spring and around November.  Usually, it’s 15-20% off for a few days and at Sephora, that goes a looonnnnnnngggg way.   Sephora isn’t like Ulta. You don’t get coupons or points that translates to dollars.  Any coupon/deal that you get at Sephora must be seized!

As for why they’re having a sale, Sephora is revamping their point system, this is the kickoff.

Here’s the breakdown:

For Rouge, the sale starts on Aug. 24 till September 3rd and you get 20% off.

It starts for VIB and beauty insiders on Aug. 30 with 10-15% off till September 3rd.

On top of the sale, you’ll also earn points per dollar faster!  Sephora is also promising to up their point rewards, especially for those with more than 750 points. I’M ALL FOR IT. Still not good as Ulta, I can’t use my points to buy products but you do get more reward for your buck.

I’ve got my cart loaded with what I want to try during the sale! Here are my recommendations and what’s in my cart.

MAKEUP

I’ve been using this Hourglass Caution Mascara nonstop and I LOVE it.  It adds length and volume, doesn’t flake and won’t smudge. I wear it all day, to pilates, in the heat — you name it.  And it never smudges and still looks amazing.  I will be buying a full-size one because it’s my new go-to mascara and I don’t wanna be without it.

The Marc Jacobs Omega coconut bronzer is amazing. It looks so good on the skin — never muddy and it’s smooth. I love the color and it’s good for contour or bronzing the skin. It’s expensive but I love it and I think it’s worth it if you’re a bronzer feign. If you don’t want to shell out $50, Benefit Hoola is another great option.

Nars lip balm orgasm is the best everyday lip color that keeps your lips moisturized and is easy to wear. I’m always reaching for this.

RMS concealer is a must for dewy skin or no-makeup days. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea and the shade range is shit but I love this concealer.

I love the new Too Faced concealer, that’s totally worth a buy or the Nars creamy radiant or soft matte concealers are both great.

I think the Laura Mercier setting powder is great. Not a huge powder fan but this one is amazing!

Urban Decay Born To Run Palette. This is a great everyday eyeshadow palette that offers neutrals, colors and options! You can create so many looks and I love the quality of it. Easy to blend, use and create tons of different looks with.

Hourglass Eye Glitters. I LOVE these so much. So glittery/metallic on the lid, so easy to apply and they last with minimal/if any fallout. They come in the best colors and I love mine.

I love Nudestix matte bronzer and blur stick.  Great for more natural, no makeup.

SKINCARE

As for skincare, I recommend any of the Drunk Elephant serums.  They’ll do amazing things for your skin — some of the best results I’ve ever gotten and they’re pricey so they sale helps to ease that.

I love face oils. I think the Youth To The People super berry oil is great and so is the Kora Organics Noni face glow oil. —  pricey but that ones my favorite!

I love the Kora Organics noni eye oil, too! I just love the noni oil line. It’s super hydrating not greasy and it has honestly helped with my dark circles! Only slightly but the best results I’ve gotten with an eye product. It has a rose quartz roller ball applicator and it’s so soothing and cooling on the undereyes.

The Farmacy green clean makeup cleanser is great at removing all makeup! I plan on picking this up because I love the sample I have.

Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen is one of my favorite everyday sunscreens. It’s clear and it acts as a blur primer. I also love/totally recommend the Supergoop setting powder for reapplying SPF throughout the day. It’s the best method I’ve found, plus it’ll help to keep to not so shiny.

Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi is my favorite way to bronze up my face. I add this to my SPF and bam, you’re a bronzed goddess.

Ouai Rose and Body Oil. I use this after every shower and to mix my tan drops into. I LOVE this oil; it’s hydrating and it smells amazing. I use it daily and will def be getting a replacement. Bonus points since you can use it on your hair too.

YTTP Adaptogen moisturizer. I have a little sample of this and it’s heavenly hydrating. — Is that even a thing? Lol, super hydrating and it feels so nice on! Definitely for dry skin types and cooler months. Their Kale and Spinach moisturizer is more lightweight and just as nice!

Isle of Paradise tan drops. I love these drops for my face and body tan mixed with oils. Oils are the best way for a seamless tan with this product. It took me a few struggles to find my way but now this is my favorite self-tanner by far.

For lip balm, I love the Laneige lip mask or the Bite Beauty lip mask in lavender.  Both are super hydrating and great for chapped, cracked lips as a balm or lip treatment.

HAIR

I love Olaplex 3. It’s the best hair mask I’ve ever tried and I recommend it to everyone. Sleep in it and it’ll transform your hair.

Ouai Leave in Conditioner. One of my favorite for detangling, defrizzing and using after a shower.

Verb salt spray. My favorite texture spray that’s never sticky if you use sparingly. Even if you add too much, it’ll correct itself.

WISHLIST

Olaplex shampoo and conditioner. The hair mask is absolutely amazing for hydrating and rejuvenating dry/damaged hair so I have high hopes for the shampoo/conditioner.

Caudalie Vinoperfect brightening essence. I heard this is great for bright, glowy skin and I’m loving using essences in my routine. I don’t own anything Caudalie and people rave about them so they’re next on my list.

Natasha Denona Duo Chrome top coat. I have one of these eyeshadows already and I like how easy it is and how it lasts. I’ve been wanting a duochrome/iridescent eye sitch and this one is exactly it.

I’m also eyeing the Lancome L’absolu laquers! They’re a long lasting gloss and they sound so my cup of tea. I don’t need any lips though so we’ll see. Speaking of lips, I want the new Fresh lip tint in Spice. It’s a pinky nude and I think it’ll be perfect for everyday to wear to class and such.

I reallllllly want to try the Milk Makeup setting powder. I said the Laura Mercier one is exceptionally good but I want something new to try! This one is cheaper and has rave reviews. Even if you don’t love powder, I think everyone needs one. I’ve def been looking for greasy then dewy lately.
