Happy Monday! I usually don’t dedicate an entire post to one product unless I’m pretty hooked on it or shook by it. That is the case here so lemme tell you about this insane, K-beauty lip stain I discovered that legit doesn’t come off. I mean, the longest lasting lip I’ve EVER worn.
I’m talking about the Chateau Le Biotte Wine Lip Tint. Tint or stain, they do the same. It’s a collection of red lip stains that are supposed to mimic the way your lips look after a few glasses of wine. It’s a brilliant concept and lemme tell ya, this stain does NOT come off. It comes in a little, wine bottle tube and I honestly only bought it because I like a stain and the packaging was cute. I didn’t have any expectations for it!
I wore the stain out one night because I wanted to try a bold red lip. (Which I NEVER do.) To a club in particular so think dancing, sipping, and sweating. Hard on a lip product and a very good (harsh?) way to test the lasting powers of it.
I applied 2-3 coats so that it was a bold red and I did not reapply for the rest of the night. I came home around 1 or 2ish and it was still red and bright on my lips. Ooh, I also ate a burger before coming home too! Lol. I woke up in the morning and it was still on my lips. And after using micellar water, a scrub and a cleansing balm it was STILL on my lips. It wasn’t until the next night when I was fully able to get it off my lips. That’s why it’s the longest lasting lip and it’s not an exaggeration.
What I love about this lip besides the long-lasting capabilities is that it’s comfortable to wear and it stays put. It’s not totally transfer proof or ‘kiss proof’ but it’s not going to slide around or wear off with time like a gloss or lipstick would. The stain wears off well and it’s not patchy until the very end when you’re scrubbing it off. The takeaway here is they’re comfy and they wear really nicely and for a long time.
This lip stain has a matte finish but it’s still tacky to touch. (In the photos you can see I added a gloss on top but it’ll dry down pretty matte.) I really appreciate that it’s not drying because that’s uncomfortable and I think it always looks horrible. I hate that dry feeling that matte, liquid lipsticks give. This stain makes your lips feel moisturized with semi-wet sort of tacky texture and it allows you to move your lips together. But they look matte. I hope that makes sense. Maybe a demi-matte since it’s not dried down.
It has a doe foot applicator with a slanted edge so it’s semi-easy to line your lips and apply it. Personally, I have a VERY hard time lining my lips so it was hard for me. hahah. If you can do it easily or even have a liner to use you’ll be fine. Depending on how much you apply you can go for a full stained lip or a more popsicle, blotted lip look.
I have the shade ‘Shiraz.’ It’s a true red-blue color. They also have some pink reds, some berry colors and some orange reds. They also have the same lip stain in some more neutral pink colors which is what I want to get my hands on next! I applied 2-3 coats of it initially to get a bold lip and it wore really nicely. These lip stains are only $12 on Amazon!
I’m all about finding long lasting makeup for going out. Just to clarify, I don’t go out too often (I’m a grandma and I aim for 2-3 times a month if that LOL) but one night I saw a picture of myself red, sweaty and disgusting looking and that image has been ingrained in my head ever since. Lol. Since then I’ve been determined to find the best long lasting products. For reference, I wore a Kylie velvet lip and I had to reapply it a few times throughout the night. If you want something truly long lasting I think a lip stain is the way to go.
Not a red lip sort of girl. ME too, here’s my every day, nude-pink lip post!
